Focus. Assess. Recharge.

Get Quick, Meaningful Feedback On Your Manuscript from a Senior Publisher to Help You Move Forward with Confidence

Dear Writer,

Getting a foot-in-the-door of publishing world is notoriously difficult. Often, writers are kept outside not because their work is flawed in some deep way, but because they are missing a few little things that publishers immediately notice.

Open only during brief windows once or twice per year, our "Focus, Assess, Recharge" service gives you a publisher's eye view of your book so far. We'll show you both the strengths and the weaknesses, and help you discover opportunities in your work that you may have missed.

Send your work into our senior editors, and you will receive a forthright one page document designed to help you get your work commercially published and identify what impediments there may be to be overcome and to build upon your strengths.

Unlike our premium manuscript review service which is focused on more detailed, line-by-line feedback, "Focus, Assess, Recharge" is designed to give you clarity on the direction you should now be moving in in order to end up with a successful and commercially viable book.

Our Seasoned Team of Publishing Professionals Has Helped To Bring to Life Over 2000 Successful Books for Adults and Children. Now It's Your Turn!

Exisle Publishing was founded in the early 1990s with the mission of giving a voice to writers whom the mainstream often overlooked. Ironically, we've since become something of a mainstream publisher ourselves, with branches in Australia, New Zealand, the United States and the United Kingdom, and a successful children's imprint, EK Books.

Despite our global success, we haven't forgotten our roots, and our mission. With Exisle Academy we want to guide people who have a message, who have something to say, but who may not yet have the knowledge, experience and industry contacts, along the path to making their book the success it deserves to be.

Here's Exactly How The "Focus, Assess, Recharge" Manuscript Review Program Works:

  1. Book Your "Focus, Assess, Recharge" Manuscript Review

Sign-up with the button below - Please note, this service is only upon once or twice a year during brief, select intervals when our publishing and editorial staff have the time available. Outside of these windows, the sign-up button will be removed and this page will be closed.

  2. Send In Your Manuscript, Outline or Sample Chapters to Our Editorial Team

As soon as you sign-up, you will be given the private email address of an Editorial Administrator who will be in charge of making sure your manuscript reaches the right hands, and answering any questions you may have.
(You do not need to have a finished manuscript - we will work with whatever you have right now, but of course, the more you can send, the better).

  3. Receive A One Page Document With Concise, Meaningful and Actionable Feedback on Your Book

Our Editorial Administrator will first read the material you have sent, and then assign you to a senior editor from either Exisle Publishing or EK Books. This editor will also read what you have provided, and write up their feedback in a concise, meaningful one-page document. Your forthright one-pager is designed to help you get your work commercially published and identify what impediments there may be to be overcome and to build upon your strengths.

The entire process typically takes 7 to 21 days depending on the complexity of your book. An editor will be in touch with you and keep you up to date.

What's The Different Between a "Focus, Assess, Recharge," and a Complete Manuscript Review?

We understand that many authors are happy to "go it alone," but would benefit hugely from a quick shot of professional insight to give you the confidence and clarity to move forward to the next stage. "Focus, Assess, Recharge" gives you one page of actionable feedback that will help you understand how your book looks from a publisher's perspective, and what steps you now need to take in order to get your book successfully published.

A complete Manuscript Review is a much more involved process, giving you line by line feedback across your entire book, as well as a dedicated editor. A complete manuscript review costs US $997 for a children's book, and US $2997 for an adult non-fiction book. With "Focus, Assess, Recharge" we aim to offer a more affordable solution to help more writers realize their books and bring their ideas to life.

A quick note on word counts: For children's books, we are happy to look at anything from just a few hundred words (or less) up to a maximum of 15,000. If you have a children's book that is over this length, please purchase the non-fiction option so we can assign adequate resources to look at your book in its entirety.
